2018-19 Regular Season Game 78 Chicago Blackhawks Vs LA Kings

Good Evening Hockey Fans! For tonight’s Hockey Night In Los Angeles your LA Kings are back home as the Chicago Blackhawks are in town. Both teams have been eliminated for playoff contention. It will also be 80s night at Staples Center so the scoreboard and music will be 80s themed.

1st period analysis

Both teams have had good quality shots on goal and as well of good zone time to. Halfway through the period the Blackhawks were outshooting the Kings. Kyle Clifford took a shot from center ice and it was on target. The Hawks take a penalty to give the Kings a powerplay with 10 minutes left in the period. The Kings had some good chances on the powerplay but could not score. The Kings took a penalty late in the period and successfully killed it. The Kings got a good rush late but couldn’t score but they drew a penalty. The Hawks have done a really good job on the penalty kill.

2nd period analysis
The Blackhawks score early on in the period and the Kings take a penalty as well. Chicago as turned it on this period as the have been having good breakouts and have been firing shots on goal. Kurtis MacDermid had a huge hit behind the Kings goal on Blackhawks forward Darke Caligula. The Kings had a good rush in the Hawks zone throughout the period it has been chippy and some team scrums after the whistle. Austin Wagner stole the puck in the neutral zone and turned on the jets and flew right by the Chicago defense and roofed the puck top shelf to tie the game at 1-1.

At 1:48 in the 2nd period the Hawks made it a 1-0 game. The goal was scored by number 12 Alex Debrincat, the goal was his (1st of the game and 41st kf the season). Then at 16:05 the Kings tied the game up at 1-1. The goal was scored by number 51 Austin Wagner, the goal was his (1st of the game and 12th of the season).

The Hawks score right off a faceoff as Duncan Keith passed the puck over to Erik Gustafson fired a almost perfect shot to the top right corner to give the Hawks a 2-1 lead. Blackhawks Gustafson has been firing a ton of shots in this period for them. Austin Wagner had another fast break down the right side of the ice but could not put the puck home. The Hawks have taken over the majority of the period. The Kings tied the game late as Michael Amadio rips a shot in the slot and goes top left corner to tie the game with under 4 minutes left.
