Both teams have had good quality shots on goal and as well of good zone time to. Halfway through the period the Blackhawks were outshooting the Kings. Kurtis MacDermid had a huge hit behind the Kings goal on Blackhawks forward Darke Caligula. The Kings had a good rush in the Hawks zone throughout the period it has been chippy and some team scrums after the whistle. Austin Wagner stole the puck in the neutral zone and turned on the jets and flew right by the Chicago defense and roofed the puck top shelf to tie the game at 1-1.

The Hawks score right off a faceoff as Duncan Keith passed the puck over to Erik Gustafson fired a almost perfect shot to the top right corner to give the Hawks a 2-1 lead. Blackhawks Gustafson has been firing a ton of shots in this period for them. Austin Wagner had another fast break down the right side of the ice but could not put the puck home. The Hawks have taken over the majority of the period. The Kings tied the game late as Michael Amadio rips a shot in the slot and goes top left corner to tie the game with under 4 minutes left.
