2018-19 Regular Season Game 71 Florida Panthers Vs LA Kings

Good Afternoon Hockey Fans! Today will be the final Hockey Night In LA as the Florida Panthers are here to take on your LA Kings. Kings forward Austin Wagner has 10 goals, 7 assists, and 17 points in his first 50 NHL games. Per LA Kings Insider John Rosen the Kings had a hard and good practice. Today’s game marks LA Kings equipment Manager Darren Granger’s 2,000th NHL game.

2nd period analysis
The Kings are still continuing to hit hard, Kurtis MacDermid and Josh Brown had one of best fights of the season for the Kings. The Panthers has a good rush down the right wing and forged to the front of the net and scored to take a 2-1 lead. Kings are getting good chances on net halfway through the period. Tyler Toffoli has has set up great chances for his teammates this period. The Panthers are getting more zone time towards the end of the period.

3rd period analysis
The Kings tied the game early on in the period of a five hole shot from Brendan Leipsic. The Kings get a breakout as Alex Iafallo chipped the puck to Dustin Brown who skated down the right wing and dropped the puck to Anze Kopitar who skated down the middle and fired home a shot the went right through Panthers goalie Sam Montembeault to give the Kings the lead. The Panthers come flying down the left wing and Jonathan Quick makes a save but a rebound is put home as the Panthers tie the game. Both teams had good chances in the period, the Panthers get a goal after the a video review. Once again the Kings have blown the game in the final minutes.

At 1:05 in the 3rd period the Kings made a 2-2 game. The goal was scored by number 14 Brendan Leipsic, the goal was his (1st of the game and 7th of the season). Then at 9:44 the Kings made it a 3-2 game. The goal was scored by number 11 Anze Kopitar, the goal was his (1st of the game and 20th of the season). At 13:47 the Panthers tied the game at 3-3. The goal was scored by number 63 Evgeni Dadonov, the goal was his (2nd of the game and 24th of the season). Then at 18:04 the Panthers took the lead and made it a 4-3 game. The goal was scored by number 11 Jonathan Huberdeau, the goal was his (1st of the game and 23rd of the season).
