2018-19 Regular Season Game 70 Nashville Predators Vs LA Kings

Good Evening Kings Fans! Tonight starts a five game homestand for your LA Kings as they take on the Nashville Predators for the final season series meeting. The Preds currently sit in  2nd place in the Central Division. Tonight the Kings are hosting PRIDE night in honor of Hockey is For Everyone month and the You Can Play initiontive the league has to bring inculsinvness for the spirt of Hockey  Tonight Austin Wagner will be back in the lineup for your Kings.

1st period analysis
The Kings take a penalty early on in the period. Nashville has done a good job at keeping the puck in the offensive zone midway through the period. Both teams are not getting a lot of chances on target, as most of the shots are going out of play or just wide of the net. The Kings are not making hard and crisp passes to each other.  the Predators get a goal off a 2 on 1 breakout, as it started from the Predators own zone and Viktor Arvidsson and Ryan Johansson made a give and go up the ice and Arvidsson put the puck home on the one time shot to make it 1-0. The Kings got two powerplays this period but could not convert on either of them.

2nd period analysis
The Kings are hitting hard and the Kings tied the game of a goal from Austin Wagner. The goal was set up as Matt Roy passed the puck down low to Trevor Lewis. Lewis slid the puck over to Wagner to tie the game up at 1-1. The Kings are cycling the puck extremely well and are pressuring the Preds as all five men on the ice are playing great midway through the period. The Kings are having more zone time in the offensive zone. The Kings gave up two goals in the final 5 minutes of the period.

At 2:54 in the 2nd period the Kings made it a 1-1 game. The goal was scored by Austin Wagner, the goal was his (1st of the game and 10th of the season).
