2023-24 Regular Season Game 25 Winnipeg Jets Vs LA Kings

1st Period Analysis: Early on in the game the Kings had some good quality chances from the high danger area but couldn't find the back of the net. The Kings controlled the puck in the offensive zone and sustained some pressure in the zone. The Kings got a powerplay midway through the period and the Kings converted on the first powerplay of the game and the Kings took a 1-0 lead. The Kings continued the pressure in the offensive zone as chances continued to open up. Alex Laferriere banked in a tight shot from the far side of the boards to make it a 2-0 game. The Kings kept the puck in the Jets zone for most of the period and took a 2-0 into the first intermission.

2nd Period Analysis: The Kings started the period down a man due to the Kings taking a penalty late in the first period. The Kings managed to kill off the penalty. The Kings regained the man advantage as they went back on the powerplay. The Kings had a few chances on the powerplay but couldn't go 2 for 2 on the powerplay. The Jets took advantage of a turnover by the Kings in the Winnipeg zone and the Jets had a 3 on 2 and made it a 1-2 game as Nikolaj Ehlers scored top corner. Midway through the period the Jets controlled the pressure in the offensive zone and gained more zone time. Nikolaj Ehlers came in flying down the near side wall and he buried his second goal of the game and he rang this one off the post and in. The Jets scored again a minute later and the Jets have taken over the game in period as they have worn down the Kings with lots of pressure in the offensive zone. The Kings got a powerplay late in the period and had some good chances and good puck movement but couldn't get anything going on the teams third powerplay of the game. The Kings took a penalty late in the period and went into the third down by a goal.

The Kings had their fourth powerplay of the game early on in the third. The Kings went 1 for 4 on the powerplay, the Kings tried to get more zone time but they could not get clean entries into the zone. The Jets added an empty net goal to seal the victory by a score of 5-2.
