1st Period analysis: The Kings start the game with a great chance as they almost scored on a great rush into the Blues zone in the opening minute. The Kings have had great breakouts into the offensive zone and good shots on net to start off the game. The Kings have mantianted lots of zone time early in the first five minutes of the opening period. The Blues had a four on one break and Jonathan Quick bailed out the Kings with another outstanding save. The first and second lines for the Kings have been playing great as they have made hard passes to each other and created good scoring chances. Kings defenseman Kale Clauge has played one his best games of the season so far, and has played a great first period. Through the first ten minutes of the period the Kings have out shot the Blues eight to three. Jonathan Quick has continued to play towards the end of the first period. The Blues capitalize on a two on one break off a center ice face off as Brayden Schenn fires the puck home to give St. Louis a 1-0 lead. The Kings got some chances late in the period right after the Blues scored the first goal of the game. Kurtis MacDermid had a great shot as Dustin Brown deflected the puck just wide of the net but it was a great chance for the team. Micheal Amadio has had a great period as well. Amadio has made great defensive play tonight and he has also made some good shots on target. The Kings get a power play late in the period. The Kings made some good passes at the top, Anze Kopitar passed it down low to Adrian Kempe who shot the puck on target, and Alex Iafallo jammed the puck home to tie the game at 1-1. Carl Grundstrom blocked a Blues shot, picked the puck up, made an insane dangle, walked into the zone and scored to give the Kings a 2-1 lead!

2nd Period analysis: The Kings get a goal early on has Gave Vilardi rips a backhand shot over the glove of the Blues goale to make it a 3-1 Kings lead. Adrian Kempe made a great spin near the boards and Kempe rips home a shot to make it a 4-1 game. Through the first ten minutes of the period the Kings have played great defense and have had lots of zone time and pressure in the offensive zone. The Kings have had some good shots near the side of the net. Gave Vilardi made a nice spin move behind the net and made a good pass to Dustin Brown who got a shot on goal. The Blues managed to get some good chances and zone time but the Kings made a great defensive stop. Lias Andersson took a penalty for hooking with five minutes remaining in the period. Lias Andersson jumped out of the box, made a sick move to deke out Blues goaltender Ville Husso and scored his first ever NHL goal. St. Louis added pressure and almost scored but the Kings got lucky break as the Blues hit the post and crossbar. The Kings look to keep up the pressure as they hold a three goal lead into the third period.

The Kings managed to kill off another power play tonight. Jonathan Quick has played great tonight as he made another outstanding save. St Louis scored halfway through the period to get a goal back as they scored off a bad bounce from the end boards. The Blues scored again to get two goals in 58 seconds. The Kings managed to get another power play but couldn’t get anything going until the final fifthteen seconds. Both teams have had chances in the offensive zone but they have not been able to get good quality shots on net halfway through the period. The Kings have managed to keep St Louis. from entering the zone and getting good shots on net. The Kings have played great defense in the final five minutes of regulation to hold of the Blues and get their first road win of the season.

Tonight’s game will be a 7 PM CST (5PM PST).
