2018-19 Regular Season Game 58 Boston Bruins Vs LA Kings

Good Evening Hockey Fans! Tonight the Boston Bruins are in town to take on your LA Kings for Hockey Night In LA. Over the past few games the team has seemed to look like they have some chemistry with the line combinations. When the players spoke to the media following the tough shootout loss to the Vancouver Canucks, it summed like the players were drafted when answers reports questions about how the team played that game. The Bruins look to take the season series from the Kings as just last Saturday on February 9th the Kings lost 5-4 in overtime in Boston.

Alec Martinez is out of the lineup for 1-2 weeks as he suffered a upper body injury in the last game, Sean Walker will also be out day to day with an upper body injury as well. Due to both Martinez and Walker’s injuries the Kings have called up 23 year old defensman Matt Roy from the Ontario Regin. Jonathan Quick is under the weather so Jack Campbell will start tonight.

I personally think the Kings will trade out Jeff Carter and Alec Martinez at the trade deadline for draft picks in the upcoming draft to help get the Kings get more youth and players with speed and skill. The team also needs to add more younger players to the lineup for them to get experience.

The Kings were playing good offense and putting the pressure in the Boston zone and generated some good chances on net. The Bruins scored off a turnover that was created by Paul LaDue who misplayed the pass from the Bruins player as LaDue was out of position on the play. The Kings got a powerplay early in the period but could not convert.

The Kings were playing great as the team had lots of momentum in the period. 3rd period analysis
The Kings were playing flat throughout the 3rd period, and the team was playing with a lack of emotion and urgency. The Kings grabbed a goal back at the end of the period due to a nice rebound that was put home by Alex Iafallo. But the Bruins stormed back and grabbed two in less than a minute to finish off the Kings to win the game.
