2018-19 Regular Season Game 21 Colorado Avalanche Vs LA Kings

Good evening Kings fans! Tonight is the final matchup before the NHL has their Thanksgiving Day break. The Colorado Avalancbe are in town to battle your Los Angeles Kings. The Avalanches first line the Rocky Mountian Line (which is Mikko Rantanen Nathan McKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog)  have been playing extremely well for the Avs. The Kings look to head into the Thanksgiving break with a win p, the team has assigned forward Micheal Amadio back to the Regin. Kings defenseman Dion Phaneuf is honored for his 1,000 NHL game tonight.

1st period analysis
Slow start to the game for both teams . Bad defense by the Kings lead to turnover but Kings got a good clear out of the defensive zone. Kings sustains good pressure in the offensive zone. Avalanche causing a Kings turnover which lead to Colorado putting pressure on the Kings. Low shots on goal but heavy hitting.Kings turnover the puck in the offensive zone and then draw a penalty. Avalanche score on the power play as good passing leads to the goal and the Kings defense fails to kill the penalty. Avalanche having all of the possession time throughout the period, Kings dump the puck into the zone Kyle Clifford races to the 
puck and chips it past the goalie to tie the game. 50 seconds later the Avalanche got back on the power play and scored to take the lead.

2nd period analysis
Colorado putting pressure on the Kings early in the period. Kings are not connecting cleanly on the passes. Kings get their first power play of the night only to have it killed. Kings failed to find any clear lanes for shots on net during the power play. Colorado put pressure in the Kings end on the Kings. Kings drew another penalty. Kings shots on the power play getting blocked. Kings losing momentum as Colorado makes it a two goal defect. Lots of penalties in the period. Game getting scrappy at the end of the period.  Kings give up another power play goal four kings players all collapse in and the Avalanche hit a one time to score.

3rd period analysis

Avalanche have been pressuring the Kings all game in their zone. Kings give another goal in the game as bad defensive leads to an Avalanche goal. Avalanche walk right into the Kings zone and score. No defense from the Kings on the last Colorado goal. Kings pull Cal Petersen and put in Peter Budaj. Avalanche continue to dominate the Kings tonight. Kings get goal to stop the bleeding. Austin Wagner scores his first NHL goal.
