208-19 Regular Season Game 47 LA Kings Vs Minnesota Wild

Good Evening Kings Fans! Tonight your LA Kings embark on a three game Central Divison road trip, as they take on the Minnesota Wild. The Kings come into tonight’s game with a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins  on Saturday night, while the Wild come into tonight’s game after suffering a 7-4 loss last night to the Philadelphia Flyers on the road.

The Kings are playing with a lot of speed tonight and have generated some good shots on net along with some good physical play in the period. The Kings were playing on their heels at the end of the period as Minnesota was putting pressure in the King's zone.

2nd period analysis
Jonathan Quick made an outstanding goal line save to keep the game scoreless. Both teams are getting good scoring chances in the period. Kings having a solid penalty kill at the end of the period.

At 7:13 in the 3rd the Wild scored to take the lead halfway through the period. The goal was scored by number 12 Eric Staal, the goal was his (1st of the game and 14th of the season). Then at 17:30 the Kings tied the game up at 2-2. The goal was scored by number 77 Jeff Carter, the goal was his (1st of the game and 10th of the season).

There were no penalties in the 3rd period.

3rd period analysis
Minnesota was in the King's zone for half of the period and end up taking the lead midway through the period. Kings are getting in front of the net and getting deflections through but still can not find a way to score. Late in the period the Kings tied the game up!

The game went into overtime, there were no goals scored so the game went into a shootout which the Wild won 1-0. The game finishes up as a 3-2 Wild victory.
