1st period analysis
The Kings are getting good chances in the Senators zone. Alec Martinez had a nice shot block early on. The Senators had a nice passing play which led to a nice save from Jonathan Quick, but Drew Doughty got a penalty for Holding even Brady Tkachuk tackled Drew. Jake Muzzin levels Senators forward Colin White along the broads as it was a good clean hit. Carl Hagelin made a nice play as he used his body to poke the puck away from a Senator player and feed the puck to Jeff Carter had a breakaway but could not find the back of the net as he hits the post. Drew Doughty making a great play on defenseman as he gets the angle and makes a good contact to cut off the Ottawa breakaway. The Kings take a penalty late in the period and give up a powerplay goal. The Senators get another goal to take the lead.
