2020-21 Regular Season Game 23 Los Angeles Kings Vs Anaheim Ducks

 

1st Period Analysis: The Kings start out the game strong by getting lots of pressure in the Ducks zone. The Ducks get the first goal of the game only two minutes into the game. Both teams get some good chances in their respective zones in the first five minutes of the game. The Kings get the first powerplay of the game early on. The Kings get some good looks on the powerplay but could not get it going on the powerplay, but the Kings do get a goal as Blake Lizotte feeds a nice pass to Adrian Kempe point blank on one knee, to tie the game for the Kings. The Kings have also done a great job in the defensive zone by getting sticks in the lane to disrupt the Ducks passes and shots. The Kings have created a ton of turnovers in the Ducks zone and have sustained lots of pressure in the Anaheim end of the ice. For almost the whole period the Kings have kept the puck in the offensive zone. The Ducks get a goal from the left side of the net as Rickard Rakell gets the goal late in the period. The Ducks get some zone time and pressure late in the period, as the Kings trail heading into the 2nd period.

3rd Period Analysis: The Kings scored in the first two minutes to cut the Ducks lead in half and make it a 4-5 game. Both teams managed to get some good chances on net early on in the period. The Kings managed to get some pressure midway through the period. The Ducks have done a good job at limiting the Kings into the offensive zone in the period.
