Los Angeles to host 2017 NHL All Star Game


Nashville,TN- On January 29, 2016 the National Hockey League's commissioner, Gary Bettman, reported at the NHL news conference that the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Kings will host the 2017 NHL All-Star Game. The Kings and the City of Los Angeles have hosted the all star game twice, once in 1981 at the Los Angeles Fourm in Inglewood, California, and the other in 2002 at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. Next year, will be the Kings 50th season and the NHL's 100th season. The Kings came in to the league in 1968. The Kings were part of the leagues expansion program that expanded the Leauge from six to 12 teams. 
This will be the third time LA will host the NHL All-Star game.
The 2002 NHL All-Star game was played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California
