LA Kings Off Ice Update 2-29-16- 3-4-16

The Kings three game winning streak came to an end last night against the Anaheim Ducks. I think the reason why the Kings lost was because the took to many penalties in the game. Last night's game was a battle for the Kings but they were fatigued because they played a back to back games. The Kings will have a off day and Tuesday. The Kings will hold a practice on Wednesday, and a morning skate on Thursday before the game that night against the Montreal Canadiens. Have a great rest of your day. Go Kings Go!

When the Kings take lots of penates they lose all the momentum they have in the game when they have a lead. Kings lose 4-2

LA Kings Off Ice Update 2-26-16

The Kings won their third straight win in a row last night beating the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 and I think the Kings had a great third period because the Kings second line scored both goals in the game. I also think if it wasn't for the Kings goaltender (number 32) Jonathan Quick the Kings would have lost the game. Quick was making insane saves last night and I think is the best goalie in the NHL right now. The Kings next game is February 27th against the Buffalo Sabers have a great rest of your day. Go Kings Go!

Last night the LA Kings got their second straight win. I thought the kings played a great game last night. The Kings did not take a lot of penalties last night and I think that is one key that the Kings need to do if they want to win.The Kings are still first in the Pacific Division. The Kings will have a practice today and a morning skate at the Toyota Sports Center in El Sugundo, before tomorrow night's game on February, 25th against the Edmonton Oilers at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. LA Kings Off Ice update 2-21-16 and 2-22-16

The LA Kings got a huge win last night in Nashville and I really think that the Kings needed  to win this game, because they now have a four point lead in the Pacific division. I think the Kings played a amazing game last night everyone was playing their best hockey I have seen in a while on the team. The Kings won't practice today but the will hold a practice on Monday and a morning skate at the Toyota Sports Center in El Sugundo. The Kings next game will be a home game on Tuesday February 23rd when the Kings take on the Calgary Flames at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. It was scored by (number six) Jake Muzzin it was his seventh goal of the season. At 19:33 the Predators scored to make it a 1-1. The goal was scored by (number four) Ryan Ellis. It was also his seventh goal of the season. I think the Kings didn't play well in the 1st period because they took some penates and it cost them a goal. During the 2nd and 3rd period no goals were scored but the Kings got better as the game went on even though they took a few penalties during the 1st and 2nd period. The game went into overtime and in overtime at 1:18 THE KINGS SCORED TO WIN THE GAME! The goal was scored by (number 70) Tanner Pearson and it was his eighth goal of the season. I think the Kings needed to win this and I think it was a very huge win and the need to continue winning if they want to be in first place in the pacific division.

LA Kings Off Ice Update 2-19-16

Last night the Kings played their sixth of seventh game of this road trip the Kings lost again but managed to get a point. Another thing to note is that my favorite player and center for the Kings (number 11) Anze Kopitar left last nights game in St.Louis. They said it was a lower body injury. I think the Kings chances at getting into the playoffs are still a good chance. Right now the Kings have a three point division lead. I don't think the Kings will be able to hang on to first place for the rest of the season. The next Kings game will be on February 20th, when the Kings face the Nashville Predators at the Bridestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Thanks for reading today's off ice update, Have a great rest of your day. Go Kings Go!

LA Kings Vs St. Louis Blues 2-18-16

On February 18th, 2016 the LA Kings faced the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The Kings need to win this game because it is against a Western Conference opponent. At 11:32 the Blues scored to make it 1-0. The goal was scored by (number 15) Robby Fabbri. It was his 14th goal of the season. The Kings did not have a lot of shots in the 1st period the Kings only had 8 shots in that period. Through 2 periods there were no goals scored. At 3:25 in the 3rd period the Kings scored to tie the game at 1-1. (Number 77) Jeff Carter skated down the right side of the ice with the puck and made a pass to (number 73) Tyler Toffoli who shot the puck from Carter who made the pass and scored to tie the game. That goal was Toffoli's 24th goal of the season. The game went into overtime. 1:40 into overtime the Blues scored. The Blues had a breakaway and shot the puck it hit the post and went in off the goalie and in. The Kings have not played good the past few games. Kings lose 2-1 in overtime

LA Kings Off Ice Update 2-17-16

One of the reasons why the Kings aren't doing well is because they have lost two straight games in a row and one of their best left wingers, (number 12) Marian Gaborik, is out with a knee injury. In my opinion, with Gaborik being out, the King's chances at staying in 1st place in the Pacific Division are slim. The reason why I think that is because the Kings cross county rivals the Anaheim Ducks are three points behind them. If the Kings want to start winning games, they need to put the pucks in the net, and get more scoring opportunities. The Kings also need to avoid taking penalties that cost them during a game. The next Kings game will be on Thursday, February 18th, when the Kings take on the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade center in St. Louis Missouri. I will share my thoughts and a recap of the game tomorrow night. Thanks for reading today's Kings Off Ice Update. Have a great rest of your day. Go Kings Go!

It was his 16th goal of the season. Kings lose 3-1. On the Capitals game winning goal Justin Williams made a assist to set up the game winning goal. Williams played six years with the Kings and in 2014 was known for helping the Kings win the Stanley Cup that year. Williams played a solid game last night and I think he helped his new team to win against his for a team. He even stated before the game that it was tough for him to play against them. I have always liked Williams for the way he plays the game.

Nashville,TN- On January 29, 2016 the National Hockey League's commissioner, Gary Bettman, reported at the NHL news conference that the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Kings will host the 2017 NHL All-Star Game. The Kings and the City of Los Angeles have hosted the all star game twice, once in 1981 at the Los Angeles Fourm in Inglewood, California, and the other in 2002 at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. Next year, will be the Kings 50th season and the NHL's 100th season. The Kings came in to the league in 1968. The Kings were part of the leagues expansion program that expanded the Leauge from six to 12 teams.
This will be the third time LA will host the NHL All-Star game.
The 2002 NHL All-Star game was played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California
