LA Kings 2024-25 Regular Season Game 15 Vs Columbus Blue Jackets

Tonight the LA Kings face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets from Crypto.com Arena for an early 6:00 pm matchup.

The Blue Jackets struck first on a 2 on 3 rush as Dimitri Voronkov tipped home a pass from Justin Danforth late in the first period. 

The Kings responded back with two goals of their own early on in the 2nd period, as Valdislav Gavrikov notched his second goal in two games.

Gavrikov scored as he shot the puck from the top as after a pass from Adrian Kempe and had help from Anze Kopitar and Trevor Lewis as they screened Blue Jackets goaltender Elvis Merzlikins.

Two minutes after Gavrikov's goal Kings forward Warren Foegele ripped a shot top self as he scored his 6th of the season.

30 seconds into the third period Kings forward Trevor Moore scored to give the Kings a 3-1 lead. Columbus cut right back into the Kings lead as Blue Jackets forward Ivan Provarov scored to make it a 2-3 game.

The Kings put the game out of reach as Alex Laferriere and Brandt Clarke scored to goals late to give the Kings a 5-2 win.

The Kings will be back home to close off the third game of this home stand as they take on the Calgary Flames at 5:30 PM.

LA Kings 2024-25 Regular Season Game 14 Vs Vancouver Canucks

The LA Kings came back from its two game road trip as the team takes on the Vancouver Canucks


Quinton Byfield created a great opportunity for himself as he sped down the right wing and walked in to give the Kings the lead early on in the period.


Kings forward Tanner Jeannot was given a game misconduct and 5 minute major penalty for a check to the head.


Vancouver tied the game up at 1-1 as Connor Garland picked up the puck off of a tipped shot and put it past Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper. 


Both teams headed into the 2nd intermission knotted up at 1-1.


The Canucks took the lead as forward Jake Debrusk danced around the LA defense and tucked home the puck from the side to make it a 2-1 game.


Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes fired a shot from the left top found its way into net to make it a 3-1 early in the 3rd.


The Kings got back on the board midway through the third as Valdislav Gavrikov ripped home a shot from the top to cut the Canucks lead at 2-3.


Vancouver sealed the game with an empty net goal to finish off the Kings 4-2.


The Kings next home game will be Saturday at Crypto.com Arena as they will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at 6:00 pm.

LA Kings 2024-25 Regular Season Game 13 Minnesota Wild

The Kings played their second game of the back to back road trip as the faced the Minnesota Wild from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN

The first period started out slow but Minnesota started the scoring as Wild forward Zach Bogosian fired home a shot from the point as it hit the post and went into the net.

The Kings came back and tied the game up at 1 a pierce as Warren Fogele jammed home a lose puck.

The Kings continued to keep the pressure on the Wild as Kevin Fiala scored in back to back games as this one came on the power play to make it a 2-1 game.

The Kings grabbed their third goal of the game as Trevor Lewis scored his 100th NHL goal,, as he hurried home his own rebound to make it a 3-1 game.

Quinton Byfield joined the scoring party as he deflected a shot from Kings defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov to make it a 4-1 game.

Trevor Lewis got his second of the game and 101st of his career as he put home an empty net goal to make it 5-1.

The Kings continue to do good on the road as they are now 8-3-3 on the season. The teams next game will be at home at Crypto.com Arena as they take on the Vancouver Canucks at 7:30

LA Kings 2024-25 Regular Season Game 12 At Nashville Predators



The LA Kings started off a two game road trip as they took on the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville TN the first game of the road trip.

The Kings got on the board about halfway through the first period as Anze Kopitar banked home a rebound of the back pads of Predators goalie Jusse Saros.

Early on both teams had some good chances in the 2nd period but neither team was able to get a goal throughout it. 

Just 35 seconds in the Kings grabbed their second goal of the game as forward Kevin Fiala walked down the right side in the offensive zone and ripped home the shot on his backhand. 

The Kings put home an empty net goal with about 3 minutes left to seal the win off by a score of 3-0, as Adrian Kempe grabbed his 5th goal of the season.

The Kings next game will be tomorrow night as they take on the Minnesota Wild from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Minnesota.
