LA Kings Vs Washington Capitals 3-9-16

On March 9, 2016 the LA Kings played the Washington Capitals at Staples Center in downtown LA. It will be an emotional game for the Capitals number (14) Justin Williams and number (10) Mike Richards as they will face the Kings in LA for the first time since they played for the Kings last season. At 4:52 the Kings scored to make it 1-0 and the crowd went berserk. The goal was scored by number (44) Vincent Lecavalier. It was his  seventh goal of the season. Then 12:05 the Kings struck again and the crowd was going crazy again! The goal was scored by number (6) Jake Muzzin it was his eighth goal of the season. Then at 13:26 the Kings scored again to make it 3-0. The goal was scored by number (17)  Milian Lucic. It was his 12 of the season. The Kings played a great first period. There were no goals in the period but I think the Kings played a good period defensively. At 1:42 in the third period the Capitals scored to make it 3-1. The goal was scored by number (77) Tj Oshie. It was his 20th goal of the season. Then at 11:02 the Capitals scored again to make it 3-2 and Kings fans were beginning to worry. The goal was scored by number (19) Nicklas Backstrom. It was his 18th goal of the season. At 16:39 the Capitals tied the game up at 3-3 and deflated all of the Kings fans at Staples Center. The  goal was scored by number 9 Dmitry Orlov. It his ninth goal of the season. The Kings played a very bad third period,and that's why I think they blew the lead the game. The game went into overtime and and at 2:50 the Kings scored and Staples Center went into a frenzy! The goal was scored by number (77) Jeff Carter. It was his 18th goal of the season. KINGS WIN 4-3 in OT!
