LA Kings Off Ice Update 4-23-16

The LA Kings were eliminated from the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. They had a good season and I am proud of what the team did this season by making the playoffs. And the blog will be taking a short break during the offseason. I will be back in October when the 2016-2017 NHL regular season returns. And give you a game recap and Off Ice Updates. I will have a new segment next year at the end of each month I will make a post about the Kings player of the month which is voted by you the fans on LAKings.com or the official LA Kings app. Talk to you Kings fans next season and have a great summer.

2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Quarterfinals Game 5 LA Kings Vs San Jose Sharks 4-22-16

The On April 22, 2016 the LA Kings played the San Jose Sharks in game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals at Staples Center in downtown LA. If the Kings lose tonight they will be eliminated from the playoffs. At 1:08 in the 1st period the Sharks scored to make it 1-0. The goal was scored by number (27) Joonas Donski, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs). Then at 11:27 the Sharks made it 2-0. The goal was scored by number (50) Chris Tierney, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs). Then during the 2nd period the Sharks made it 3-0. The goal was scored by number (83) Matt Nieto, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs). Then at 7:44 the Kings got a goal to make it 3-1. The goal was scored by number (11) Anze Kopitar, it was his (2nd goal of the playoffs). Then at 11:26 the Kings made it a 3-2 game. The goal was scored by number (77) Jeff Carter, it was his (2nd goal of the playoffs). Then the Kings tied the game up at 3-3 at 16:36. The goal was scored by number (10) Kris Versteeg, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs). At 3:58 in the 3rd period the Sharks took the lead to make it 4-3. The goal was scored by number (27) Joonas Donski, it was his (2nd goal of the game and the playoffs). Then at 12:34 the Sharks scored to make it 5-3. The goal was scored by number (8) Joe Pavelski, it was his (5th goal of the playoffs). Then at 19:39 the Sharks added a empty net goal to make it 6-3. The goal was scored by number (68) Melker Karlsson, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs) Kings lose 6-3. And the Kngs are eliminated from the playoffs. San Jose wins the series 4-1.

LA Kings Off Ice Update 4-21-16

Last night the La Kings lost 3-2 to the San Jose Sharks. The Kings are now down 3-1 in the series and can be eliminated from the playoffs if they lose on Friday April, 22nd. 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Quarterfinals Game 4 LA Kings Vs San Jose Sharks 4-20-16

On April 20, 2016 the LA Kings faced the San Jose Sharks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals at the SAP Center At San Jose in San Jose, California. There were no goals scored in the 1st period. At 2:09 in the 2nd period the Sharks scored to make it 1-0. The goal was scored by number (88) Bret Burns it was his (2nd goal of the playoffs). LA Kings Off Ice Update 4-19-16

Last night the Kings won a thrilling and nerve racking game 2-1 in overtime over the San Jose Sharks. The Kings now trail 2-1 in the series and hope to tie the series up on Wednesday for game 4 in San Jose. I think the Kings played a good game last night. 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Quarterfinals Game 3 LA Kings Vs San Jose Sharks 4-18-16

On Aprial 18, 2016 the LA Kings faced the San Jose Sharks in game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals at the Sap Center At San Jose in San Jose, California. 30 seconds into game the Sharks scored to make it 1-0. The goal was scored by number (19) Joe Thornton, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs). At 8:10 the Kings struck back to tie the game up at 1-1. The goal was scored by number (11) Anze Kopitar, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs). There were no goals in the 2nd period. There were no goals in the third period so the game went into overtime. At 3:47 into overtime THE KINGS SCORED TO WIN THE GAME 2-1! The goal was scored by number (70) Tanner Perason, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs). Kings Win 2-1 but are still down 2-1 in the series to San Jose.

LA Kings Off Ice Update 4-17-16

Last night the LA Kings lost 2-1 to the San Jose Sharks and now are down 2-0 in the series if the Kings lose the next two games they will be eliminated from the playoffs and the kings season will end. The referees called a bad game and gave the Kings a couple of penalty calls that shouldn't have been calls. The Kings played a ok game last night. The next game is Monday night in San Jose. 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Quarterfinals Game 2 LA Kings Vs San Jose Sharks 4-16-16

On April 14, 2016 the LA Kings faced the San Jose Sharks in game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals at Staples Center in downtown LA. At 3:37 in the 1st period the Sharks struck first and stunned the Staples Center crowd. The goal was scored by number (8) Joe Pavelski, it was his (3rd goal of the playoffs). At 8:44 the Sharks scored again to make it 2-0. The goal was scored by number (39) Logan Couture, it was his (1st goal of the playoffs). In the 3rd period at 14:59 the Kings managed to score and get a goal. The goal was scored by number (44) Vincent Lecavalier, it was his first (1st goal of the playoffs). Kings lose 2-1 and are down 2-0 in the series.

2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Quarterfinals Game 1 LA Kings Vs San Jose Sharks 4-14-16

On April 14, 2016 the LA Kings faced the San Jose Sharks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals at Staples Center in Downtown LA. LA Kings Off Ice Update 4-10-16 4-13-16

Last night the LA Kings lost 4-3 in a shootout to the Winnipeg Jets. I think the Kings played ok last night it was not one to f there best games. That was the final regular season game for the Kings, the 2016 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs start Wednesday April 13th. LA Kings Vs Winnipeg Jets 4-9-16

On April 9, 2016 the LA Kings faced the Winnipeg Jets at Staples Center in downtown LA. This is the final regular season game for both teams. The 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs start next Wednesday on April 13th. At 9:08 the Kings scored first to make it 1-0.The goal was by number (73) Tyler Toffoli, it was his (31st goal of the season).Then at 13:29 the Kings scored AGAIN! the goal was scored by number (70) Tanner Pearson, it was his (15th goal of the season). In the 2nd period at 6:05 the Kings made it 3-0. The goal was scored by number (15) Andy Andreoff, it was his (8th goal of the season). At 17:06 the Jets got a goal back to make it a 3-1 game. The goal was scored by number (9) Andrew Copp, it was his (7th goal of the season). At 19:19 the Jets cut the lead in half to make it a 3-2 game. The goal was scored by number (27) Nikolaj Ehlere, it was his (15th goal of the season). At 3:21 in the 3rd period the Jets tied the game up at 3-3. The goal was scored by number (26) Blake Wheeler, it was his (26th goal of the season). The game went into overtime there were no goals in overtime so the game went to a shootout. Kings lose 4-3 in a shootout.

LA Kings Off Ice Update 4-6-16

The Kings had amazing comeback win last night over the Calgary Flames last night in Calgary. The Kings I think did a good job last night on both sides of the puck and controlled the game in the first 2 periods. The Kings next game is against the Anaheim Ducks tomorrow night at Staples Center in downtown LA, tomorrow night's game could decide who wins the Pacific Division title, so tomorrow's game is a big one for both teams who each have 99 points. I think the Kings played a ok game last night because a player on the Stars distracted the Kings because he was talking trash before and during the game to all of the Kings players and this player on Dallas would not stop talking trash to the players.
